The agency provides recruitment and staffing solutions, HR advisory services, talent sourcing, executive search, The Finance and Accounting Officer is responsible for supporting the organization’s financial management, accounting operations, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and financial recordkeeping. The role ensures accurate financial transactions, timely reporting, proper documentation, and compliance with internal policies, donor requirements, and statutory regulations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting audits, managing payments and reconciliations, and contributing to effective financial planning and decision-making.


Key Responsibilities


Financial Management & Accounting
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Process invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and accounting systems.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor cash flow and support budget tracking.
• Assist in payroll preparation and staff payment processing.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts regularly.
• Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial transactions.


Budgeting & Financial Reporting
• Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Monitor project and departmental expenditures against approved budgets.
• Prepare financial summaries and variance reports.
• Assist management with financial analysis and reporting.


Compliance & Audit
• Ensure compliance with organizational financial policies and procedures.
• Support external and internal audits.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, donor requirements, and financial regulations.
• Assist in preparing audit schedules and supporting documents.


Procurement & Administration Support
• Support procurement processes and payment verification.
• Review supporting documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain supplier and vendor payment records.
• Coordinate with administration and operations teams when required.


Financial Controls & Risk Management
• Ensure proper financial controls are implemented and followed.
• Identify financial risks and report irregularities.
• Maintain the confidentiality of financial information and records.


Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CAT, or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Tally, or similar platforms, as well as Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.


Preferred Skills
• Experience working with NGOs, donor-funded projects, the private sector, or educational institutions.
• Knowledge of financial compliance and procurement procedures.
• Experience in budgeting and grant financial reporting.
• Ability to work in fast-paced and multicultural environments.
