We are seeking a qualified and experienced Lecturer in Physiotherapy to teach students enrolled in the Diploma in Physiotherapy program. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lectures, practical laboratory sessions, and clinical instruction while ensuring students develop the theoretical knowledge and practical competencies required for professional physiotherapy practice.

The lecturer will contribute to curriculum delivery, student assessment, academic advising, and continuous improvement of the Physiotherapy program. The ideal candidate should be passionate about teaching, committed to student success, and capable of integrating evidence-based practice into the learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Physiotherapy.
  • Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and course outlines.
  • Prepare and administer examinations, assignments, and practical assessments.
  • Supervise students during laboratory and clinical practice sessions.
  • Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students.
  • Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
  • Participate in curriculum review and program development.
  • Ensure teaching aligns with institutional academic standards and quality assurance requirements.
  • Keep up to date with current trends, research, and best practices in Physiotherapy.
  • Attend departmental meetings and perform other academic duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy is required.
  • Professional registration/licensure in Physiotherapy is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Physiotherapy at a university, college, or TVET institution.
  • Practical clinical experience in Physiotherapy is highly desirable.
  • Experience teaching Diploma-level students is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of physiotherapy theory and clinical practice.
  • Excellent teaching, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare instructional materials and assess student learning effectively.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital teaching tools.
