1. Background

Our partner organisation is seeking a qualified and experienced professional for the position of Training and Learning Specialist.

The successful candidate will support the design, development, and delivery of professional training programmes aimed at strengthening individual competencies and institutional performance.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Develop competency-based training curricula and learning programmes.
• Prepare training manuals, presentations, learning materials, and practical exercises.
• Design appropriate assessment tools to measure learning outcomes.
• Facilitate participatory training sessions and adult learning activities.
• Apply appropriate adult education and learning methodologies.
• Support the evaluation of training effectiveness and participants' learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with other experts to ensure the quality and consistency of training activities.
• Prepare training reports and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

3. Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree (or higher) in Education, Human Resource Development, Management, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience in adult education, curriculum development, professional training, or learning facilitation.
• Proven ability to develop competency-based training curricula, learning materials, practical exercises, and assessment tools.
• Strong facilitation, communication, presentation, and participatory training delivery skills.
• Previous experience delivering training programmes for government institutions or development partners is an advantage.
