Job Summary

We are looking for friendly, professional, and customer-focused Waiters and Waitresses to provide excellent service to customers in a restaurant, café, hotel, or hospitality setting. The successful candidates will be responsible for welcoming guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customers have a positive dining experience.

The ideal candidates should be polite, well-presented, hardworking, reliable, and able to work well under pressure in a busy hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Present menus and explain food and drink options to customers.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders.
• Serve meals, drinks, and refreshments to customers.
• Ensure customer orders are delivered correctly and on time.
• Check on customers during service and respond to their needs.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations.
• Prepare tables before service and clear tables after customers leave.
• Handle customer questions, requests, and complaints politely.
• Support kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety procedures.
• Process bills and payments where required.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum secondary school education is preferred.
• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in hospitality is an advantage.
• Basic communication skills in Somali and English are preferred.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and move for long periods during shifts.
